17th Ian Daisley Derbyshire & The Peak District
A selection of images covering the Peak District National Park and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent mix of subjects, including landscapes, flora and fauna. Ian also takes time to discuss composition, the changing light and some of the technical considerations required to make his images.
24th Roger Fountain Mainly Mono with a Dash of Colour
Print based talk by Derby based photographer and member of Synergy. Roger initially takes us on a journey of a variety of genres, moving on to his fine art architectural images and an insight into how he processes them.

5th Paul Hassell An Insight Into My Photography
The talk takes us through Paul’s early days of joining a camera club, getting engaged with the content and how he went through the process to find subject matter, and then on to compete in monthly merits, national and international competitions, receiving many awards and gaining a number of photo accreditations and distinctions including FRPS MPAGB FBPE FIPF. He will show a selection of before and after edited images, discussing some of his techniques and sharing some of the more amusing stories

10th Derek Doar A Passion for Monochrome
In this PDi talk Derek will show some of his many monochrome images and share his passion for this style. He will talk about techniques of processing for black and white images, including how to enhance the original colour image to improve the conversion, how to sharpen for print and PDi . Derek will encourage questions from the audience about the processing.

This was sold as ‘a trip of a lifetime’ and more than lived up to expectations!”. Helen, will share the story and images of her journey through Buenes Aries, the Falkland Islands, South Georgia, the Antarctic and Iguazu Falls, with all the associated scenery and wildlife.

4th* ZOOM Roger Hance All the Gear and No Idea
Do you ever feel you have the right equipment but don’t manage to capture the shots you want? There can be many reasons and in this talk Roger will try to explain how to avoid the pitfalls. He will share some of his best images, across a range of subjects, explaining when and where they were taken. With some he will also show the ’original raw file’ and then ‘finished image’ and explain how an image can be improved significantly with careful processing.

11th* Erica Oram Just Prints
Erica’s photography is centred around landscape, pictorial and street photography. This is a print based talk which showcases her philosophy of using photography to make a personal interpretation of “whatever is in front of me” and in finding the less obvious subject matter and compositions. Erica aims to make an interesting image out of something ordinary rather than making an ordinary image out of something interesting.

1st Lee Chapman Wings, Wildlife & Waistcoats with some Sport thrown in
Lee is an experienced photographer who runs workshops and tuition in a variety of genres: aviation, sport, re-enactment events and nature around the British Isles. This talk gives a flavour of them and the stories behind some of Lee’s images.

22nd Martin Cooke Six of 2026
Inspired by a challenge from 2025, to show five images on a theme, Martin wasn’t satisfied with just one theme so collated work from a broad spectrum of his photographic interests. He expands this concept to ‘6 from 2026’ and will share with us his favourite collections of images from wide ranging genres: Street, Portraits, Landscape, Abstract and more. In doing so he hopes to encourage us to widen our own outlook, try different genres and share the outcomes with others.
