Monica is an accomplished Midlands club photographer who enjoys touring in a camper van at home and abroad to find photographic inspiration. The results of these tours will be displayed on both prints and pdis. A small display of Shimoda camera bags will be included.

Ian’s presentation uses mainly the large scale A2 format prints, and includes a series of hints and tips using ‘before and after’ examples.
30th Martine Hamilton-Knight: Photographing the ‘Buildings of England’ series.
In her previous visit architectural photographer Martine explained that she had secured the role of photographing the forthcoming new Staffordshire volume of the ‘Buildings of England’ series. Tonight’s talk will include insights into interesting locations in the county, and describe methods and techniques used while shooting photographs for the book.

Her presentation charts the progress of her photography, from enthusiastic family snapper to professional photographer and tutor, through images of her hometown, and across the length and breadth of the vast country of China.

Richard’s talk is initially an open discussion with members to agree the essential camera skills required to take good photos, and is intended to involve both more experienced and relatively inexperienced members. It will remind us all of the skills needed for the best results: camera settings, composition, lighting etc. The talk will include a practical section where you will be invited to photograph some items that Richard will provide, so bring along your camera and tripod.

Darren is a member and past Chairman of Lichfield Camera Club who has won a number of awards and qualifications. Although he photographs a wide range of work, he has adopted Nature as his specialist subject. This presentation takes an in-depth look at his niche subject, sets out his overall approach, explains the equipment used and offers lots of tips.
